Old Welcome

Born on Friday the 13th to the Queen of Fun and an Einstein look-alike, Bill Blansett was destined for a life of energetic playfulness. With Bill, hiking trails lead to unknown mysteries, a single image can illuminate an entire life story, and work projects become year long roadtrips full of team destinations.

Approaching life as a Chief Adventure Finder, Bill spreads the joy of creativity, innovation, and play through the surprises, magical moments, thrills, and stories of day-to-day life. Uniquely skilled in the art of joy-sharing and compassionate connecting, Bill brings a wealth of experience and excitement to all of his work.

Professional positions held by Bill include wedding DJ, radio and sports team mascots, Wienermobile Hotdogger, mechanical bull operator, instructional designer, IT analyst, and leadership as the Director of Advisor Experience. Through these positions, Bill has learned how to quickly connect with colleagues and leaders and was recognized for his quiet confidence, calm demeanor, and creative spirit. Equally comfortable in cross-functional executive meetings or one-on-one with customers, Bill thrives on efficient decision making enabled by open communication and playful spaces.

Born in the Pittsburgh area, Bill spent his childhood in the outdoors riding his bicycle and playing explorer on the family’s property. After graduating from Penn State University, Bill lived in Madison, WI for 10 years where he continued biking, expressing his adventurous spirit through photography, pondering ways to share joy, and enjoying the daily parade of life. He has also spent considerable amounts of time in Sacramento, Phoenix, Baltimore, Boston, and Hartford completing work assignments in each location. Bill recently returned to the Pittsburgh area to engage, connect, and be inspired with the creativity community.

Insurance & Investment Services
After just two years with a large insurance company, Bill proved himself to be an organizational leader and was promoted from an outside consultant to the position of Director of Advisor Experience. His responsibilities grew from creating eLearnings and delivering software training to being the voice of his customer - financial advisors. Specific accountabilities included:

  • Channeling the voice of the business and its financial advisors in the development of a roadmap for efficient account opening and client reporting.
  • Prioritizing user-requests and vendor-enhancements with an understanding of interrelated complexities.
  • Coordinating with technical partners to identify and resolve data architecture and data integrity issues.
  • Strategizing with partners to ensure supporting communication, marketing and training plans aligned with the enhancement roadmap.
  • Vendors used: Salesforce.com, Pershing, & Broadridge

Healthcare IT & Electronic Medical Records
Performing under pressure is a skill honed by Bill through assignments within healthcare and specifically within the Radiology and Cardiology specialties. Certified in Epic applications Radiant, Cupid, and MyChart, Bill served his healthcare clients by creating training materials, mock system environments, and learner assessments as well as leading the corresponding classroom training.

Often taking over a project after an abrupt resource departure, these materials were created and delivered during the critical crunch time prior to Go-Live. Bill’s contributions to and organization of these projects is frequently noted, in addition to his presentation style which never hints at the uncertainity that could be behind the scenes.

Bill has worked with the following healthcare organizations:

  • Sutter Health - Sacremento, CA
  • Maricopa Integrated Health System - Phoenix, AZ
  • Resurection HealthCare (now Presence Health) - Chicago, IL
  • Univeristy of Maryland Medical System - Baltimore, MD
  • Partners HealthCare - Boston, MA
  • Hartford HealthCare - Hartford, CT
  • Northwestern Medicine/Kishwaukee Hospital - DeKalb, IL

"We are so fortunate to have had Bill join our team. Bill is professional, prompt, well-organized and has been an invaluable addition to the training team.

Eamon won his first championship title at age fourteen in 2012. It had been his first time traveling outside Alaska. Seeing a city like Seattle for the first time and competing with other talented skaters really motivated him to try something different with his routine. Mr. Maslov trusted the young teen and helped him practice at night. Eamon took home 2nd place with a double Axel, double toe-loop combo. However, due to his unconventional music choice, “Long River” by Aurora Falls, the judges only gave him an 8.9 score.

Undeterred, Eamon continued to bring his talent and unique vision to the ice. During his performance at the West Coast Championships in 2014, he gracefully executed a triple Salchow followed by a flying combination spin. Choreographed to Nayantara Kani’s “Vibravado”, Eamon’s performance landed him 1st place with a score of 9.7.

At the 2016 U.S.A. Championships Eamon took home first place by performing a quad lutz-triple toe loop combination. He ended the performance on a level 4 spin with a +3 grade of execution. By setting traditional choreography against Gravity’s rock-infused cover of Nocturne, Eamon earned a score of 9.9.

Currently, Eamon is working on the quadruple Axel, a move that has yet to be successfully implemented by any skater. So far he is 3.85 turns in.
