The artist of life is imaginatively engaged in the world around him. He accepts it as the setting, the backdrop on which the story of his life is being played out. He is creatively engaged in his life - using imagination to shape events, and imaginatively responding to events. The victories and the obstacles, the angels and devils of his inner and outer life, all are elements of the story of his life - a story he is simultaneously writing and acting in.
